Rabbit Hole is a Tony-nominated play by David Lindsay-Abaire. Ben Brantley of The New York Times describes it as an "anatomy of grief [that] doesn't so much jerk tears as tap them, from a reservoir of feelings common to anyone who has experienced the landscape-shifting vacuum left by a death in the family."[1]Its world premiere Manhattan Theatre Club production at the Biltmore Theatre gave Cynthia Nixon her first Tony Award, for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play. The production received three other nominations:After 100 preview and regular performances, the play's premiere production ended on April 9, 2006. Before closing, both the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Cleveland Play House had announced plans to do follow-on productions.[2
