Portland Sea Dogs, established in 1994, are the Double-A minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The Sea Dogs play in the Northern Division of the Eastern League.The Sea Dogs became part of the Red Sox system after the 2003 season; previously they were affiliated with the Florida Marlins.The Sea Dogs' home stadium is Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine, where the seating capacity is currently 7,368. Hadlock Field is often visited by vacationing celebrities, such as current Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells, former U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and his wife Barbara. In left field stands the Maine Monster, a 37-foot tall replica of Fenway Park's Green Monster, complete with Coke bottle and Citgo sign. Thursday's Sea Dogs Game Postponed
Portland, Maine- Thursday's Portland Sea Dogs game against the New Britain Rock Cats scheduled for 7:00 PM at Hadlock Field has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, July 3rd at 4:00 PM.

Portland Sweeps a Twinbill from the Rock Cats
(Portland, ME) - The Portland Sea Dogs (38-41) swept their first doubleheader of the season, defeating the New Britain Rock Cats (41-38) 6-4 and 8-5 on Friday night at Hadlock Field.

Four Sea Dogs Named All-Stars
Portland, Maine- The Eastern League in conjunction with the Trenton Thunder has announced the rosters for the 2009 Eastern League All-Star Game. Four Portland Sea Dogs have been selected to participate in the mid-summer classic; infielders Lars Anderson and Jorge Jimenez along with pitchers T.J. Large and Junichi Tazawa.
