Colin Andrew Mochrie (born 30 November 1957) is a Scottish-born Canadian actor and improv comedian. He has twenty-five years of performing experience.Born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, he moved with his family to Canada in 1964. He is an alumnus of Toronto's famous Second City comedy troupe, where he co-wrote and starred in three productions as well as directed three seasons of their National Touring Company. After nine years as a regular on the British Channel 4 hit improvisation series Whose Line Is It Anyway?, he became a regular on the American version hosted by Drew Carey which aired on ABC. On there, his baldness became something of a running gag. At the same time, he starred in the Canadian comedy series Blackfly and Supertown Challenge.Already one of the most highly visible actors in North American television, he joined This Hour Has 22 Minutes on CBC TV in 2001 through 2003. However, he is no longer part of the show because of his work in movies and other TV commitments. His prolific career became the subject of a joke on the Canadian sitcom Corner Gas in which a character remarked how Mochrie appeared to be on every TV show. Naturally, Mochrie himself then walked by.Mochrie was a guest star of The Drew Carey Show for three episodes: She's Gotta Have It (1999), Drew Live (1999), and Drew Live II (2000).Mochrie currently stars on the CBC show Getting Along Famously, and on The WB Television Network series Drew Carey's Green Screen Show
