Armor for Sleep is a emo band from Maplewood and Teaneck, New Jersey. Lead singer Ben Jorgensen recorded the first ever Armor For Sleep songs for $100 at a nearby recording studio, playing all the instruments by himself, after leaving the band Random Task, in which he played drums. He later met his bandmates in college. [citation needed]The band was originally signed to Equal Vision Records and released their first two albums with them, but as of April 2006, Armor for Sleep are now signed to Sire Records. According to a recent post on the band's MySpace, their contract with EVR simply ran out and was not renewed./
