Tracy Darrell "Trace" Adkins (born January 13, 1962) is an American country music singer from Sarepta, Louisiana. Some of his hits include Rough and Ready, Arlington and Hot Mama.//Adkins learned to play the guitar at an early age and eventually came to work at an oil rig. He lost part of his left finger in an industrial accident [citation needed].Adkins began playing music as part of The New Commitments, then moved on to playing in honky tonk bars in the early 1990s. After gaining some fame, he moved to Nashville and signed to Capitol Records.Adkins pled guilty to a drunk driving charge during 1996, and in 2004 he supported George W. Bush's re-election campaign, performing at the Republican National Convention
