In anticipation of the Sept. 1 release of its studio album, "The Show," Colorado's Yonder Mountain String Band is playing a show at Coney Island's Moonlight Gardens on Saturday, as well as appearing at the eighth annual Forecastle Festival in Louisville on July 12.

Ninth-Inning Run Propels Giants Past Stockton, 3-2
Tyler Graham drove home the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning before Steve Edlefsen pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the frame leading the San Jose Giants to a 3-2 victory over the Stockton Ports on Wednesday night at Banner Island Ballpark.

Driver 20kmh over limit
THE speeding trailer swerved, hit a van and a taxi, and then ploughed into a lamp post and trees at the centre divider of the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi Airport. As if the damage was not great enough, the crash dislodged the six concrete slabs it was ferrying. They landed on both sides of the highway, causing a six-hour jam.
