Iowa Hawkeyes football is the University of Iowa's football program. The team is part of the Big Ten Conference. Their home stadium, Kinnick Stadium, is named after 1939 Heisman Trophy winner Nile Kinnick. The current head coach is Kirk Ferentz.Iowa's football team plays Iowa State annually for the Cy-Hawk Trophy, a travelling award. Iowa also has a major Big Ten rivalry with Minnesota. The two schools' football teams meet yearly to battle for Floyd of Rosedale, a trophy in the shape of a bronzed pig. In 2004, a to Iowa's annual game against Wisconsin. Kirk Ferentz faced a challenge when he took over the Iowa football program after Fry's departure, and struggled initially, going 4-19 in his first two years at the helm.
