Ronnie McDowell is a country music singer who has a string of hits from the late 1970s into the 1980's. McDowell's breakthrough hit was "The King is Gone," a tribute to Elvis Presley inspired by Presley's death. McDowell's voice has been compared to Elvis, and he has lent his voice to several movies as the voice of Elvis, including "Elvis Meets Nixon", "Elvis and Me", "Elvis and the Beauty Queen", and "Elvis" [1]. Among McDowell's other hits are "Older Women" and "You're Going to Ruin My Bad Reputation."At one point McDowell's band contained lead guitarist Greg Martin, lead guitarist Anthony Kenney, and rhythm guitarist Doug Phelps, future members of The Kentucky Headhunters. Scotty Moore and D.J.
