Philadelphia KiXX is an indoor soccer team, founded in 1995 as a NPSL expansion franchise, that plays its games at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team's original owner was Ed Tepper, who had been one of the co-founders of the original MISL. Initially, the KiXX were one of the better drawing teams in the league, but their attendance fell at the turn of the century. In 2001, the KiXX along with five other NPSL franchises founded the new Major Indoor Soccer League, and the KiXX won that league's first championship.The team colors are black, and red with some teal accents.The team mascot is Soccerroo./

Philadelphia, PA, November 14, 2008 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is expected to participate in the ceremonial first-kick prior to the KiXX home opener on Saturday, November 15 at 7:05pm ET. The final home opener at the Wachovia Spectrum will be webcast on PennLive, with veteran play-by-play man John Wilsbach providing the call.
