Taste of Chaos is a hardcore/metalcore tour that was started in the winter of 2004 by Kevin Lyman, the creator of the successful Warped Tour. The Taste of Chaos tour was designed to bring in bands outside the usual punk, emo and metal format that the Warped Tour usually caters to. The headlining bands in 2005 were The Used, My Chemical Romance, and Killswitch Engage. During the tour Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance left due to family illness and Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage left due to an illness, Frank was replaced for the remainder of the tour and Killswitch Engage trecked on as a 4-piece. Just after Sophomore finished there final date of there stint on the tour (St. Louis) they wrecked the tour van. The tour was highly successful in 2005 for many of the same reasons as its summer counterpart, including cheap tickets and major bands of the genres. In the fall of 2005, the tour became international with The Used, Story of the Year, and Rise Against playing in Australia, Europe, and Asia. The 2006 lineup included Deftones and Story of the Year headlining. Just prior to the Canadian switch Funeral For A Friend dropped the tour and The Receiving End Of Sirens was replaced by Dredg. When the tour reached Canada, Thursday took over for Story of the Year, and Silverstein joined the tour. Thursday singer Geoff Rickly got really sick just a couple days into them being on Taste Of Chaos and could not sing anymore so they dropped off the remaining dates, Broke took over for The Confession at about this time as well./
