San Antonio, Texas, on May 19, 1962. He was the second born of three children to Jerry and Nola Witt, a young American missionary couple. The Witt family had just moved to Durango, México, that same year where they had started a missionary outreach. That work was unexpectedly halted after Jerry's tragic death in 1964.Years later Marco's mother, Nola Holder, would find a companion in Frank Warren and remarry. Frank embraced the vision God had originally given Jerry and Nola as his own and together they would begin to build new churches in Durango, México. This second marriage not only provided a husband for Nola, but equally important, a father figure for Marcos, Jerry, and Felipe. Later, the couple would give birth to two additional children–twin daughters–Nola and Lorena Warren.Marcos’s education began with basic studies at the American School of Durango. He then studied classical music at the University of Juarez (Durango, México) and eventually he started his theological studies at the Institute Bible College in San Antonio, Texas. Currently, Marcos is studying his Masters at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.In 1986, Marcos was married to Miriam Lee and together they have four children, Elena, Jonathan, Kristofer, and Carlos.Musician, songwriter, singer, author, speaker and pastor, Marcos founded CanZion Producciones in 1987 when he recorded his first project, “Canción a Dios”. Today he has recorded 29 projects that are available on cassette, CD, and (his latest projects) on DVD. He has sold over 7,000,000 copies of his records in México, the United States and Latin America. Due to the exceptional growth of the company CanZion Producciones was then changed in 2002 to CanZion Group, LP.In 1994 Marcos founded CanZion Institute, a school dedicated to the preparation of worship leaders and music ministers. Today there are over 3,000 students attending the 28 campuses of the Institute in 10 different countries throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe
