Westside Connection was a west coast rap group consisting of Ice Cube, WC, and Mack 10. Their first album, Bow Down, reached the #2 position on the Billboard 200 in 1996. The group was formed during the East Coast and West Coast rivarly, coming out with a vengeance after the death of Tupac Shakur. Death Row Records was dying after the loss of 2Pac, poor sales of Snoop Dogg's Tha Doggfather and Dr. Dre's record movement Aftermath. Whilst this album was on top of the charts and Priority were on top again.After a long hiatus the group released their second album Terrorist Threats in 2003 and did respectably, fueled by the smash single "Gangsta Nation" with Nate Dogg.Two albums may prove to be their limit. Members Mack 10 and Ice Cube are currently embroiled in an argument over Ice Cube's reluctance to go on tour, opting instead in favor of his movie career.Although the rap supergroup came up and diminished relatively quickly, its impact is still felt today. Although it did not pioneer any new styles, it showcased the gangsta rap style at its peak with 3 of the best artists from the West to do it. Bow Down is considered a classic album today. Hip hop fans still wonder at the potential the group had and possible material to be expected if they had not disbanded so abruptly.WC helped Ice Cube with his seventh big comeback album Laugh Now, Cry Later in June 2006, satisfying many fans by bringing back the oldschool westcoast style back with both Dub and Cube's signataree flows./

MAULDIN, S.C. (Nov. 20, 2008)-- The 25th annual BI-LO Charity Classic golf tournament, held last June, raised a record-breaking $5.6 million dollars. This Friday, more than $1.7 million will be donated to charities operating in the Upstate of South Carolina.
