Chris Cagle (born November 10, 1968) is a country music singer and songwriter who was born in Louisiana and raised in Texas. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, he attended The University of Texas at Arlington for a short time, but dropped out to pursue a musical career. He moved to Nashville in 1994 and worked a number of odd jobs to support himself while trying to land a recording contract.After years of toiling, he was signed to a record deal. His first single, 'My Love Goes On And On', was a chart hit.He also covered the Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Don't Ask Me No Questions" for the soundtrack of the first Blue Collar Comedy Tour movie, as well as performing it with the four comedians over the closing credits of the movie.Cagle was married in 2001, but the marriage ended in divorce a short time later. On October 3, 2005 he announced on his web site that he was not the biological father of the baby his then-girlfriend had.Cagle is rarely seen without a hat, typically a cowboy hat or a baseball cap
